“It’s not going to rain. It’s not going to rain.” This was the mantra that I had the entire afternoon that Patrick and I spent at Prestonwood Country Club with Nicole for her bridal portraits. We had rescheduled once due to the unpredictable summer weather, and I was determined that the sun would remain in the sky above our gorgeous Cary venue. The impending weather kept us inside for the first portion of the shoot, but Nicole’s boldness mixed with our prayers and optimism resulted in gorgeous images out on the golf course. I’m seriously obsessed with bridals, because 1) our brides get to see their wedding ensemble come fully together prior to the wedding, and 2) our gorgeous ladies get to spend one more afternoon feeling like a bride without the wedding day pressure. I decided on bridal portraits for our wedding and I absolutely loved feeling like a bride times two. It also gave Patrick bonus pictures following our wedding, because he hadn’t seen my bridal portraits¬†prior to us saying “I do”.

Nicole is such a sweet presence. She put her hair and makeup to the test by standing out in the humidity with me and moving around to intentionally put her hair through all different conditions. I love her personality and how her smile along with her smolder (holy moly can this girl smolder) transcend through the camera. My favorite moment was definitely the “Taylor Swift” when we broke out the song “wildest dreams” so she could fly that veil. Nicole, everything about your bridal portraits was wonderful, and I’m so glad we’ve gotten to encounter you and Christopher over and over. I hope having you two in front of the camera happens over and over again!
