There was silence that filled the room as tears began to form on her cheeks. Every breath was held in the beautiful space where two were in the process of becoming one. Cody and Jessica stood before their friends and family in a venue selected specifically to suit the vision of their day. Jessica had just begun to read her vows to Cody and paused while the gravity of their moment overwhelmed her. The quiet in the room was met with tears from those who were witnessing an incredible couple finally joining their lives together. Following this, that momentary held breath was met by laughter as Jessica laughed about how she hadn’t even begun to read her vows, and yet her emotions overwhelmed. I could not think of a better way to describe these two and their love together; their love is contagious and overwhelming. Getting to photograph these two at their winter engagement session was like spending time at the end of the world with your best friends. We had the entire property to ourselves and laughed, explored, and savored our time navigating the gorgeous tree farm. Getting to spend this beautiful November wedding day with them was exactly like picking up where we left out. Cody and Jessica’s kindness and intentionality transcended into every element of their day. From her gorgeous details and venue selection to the first look she shared with her father, this day was 100% them. We loved the little touches like a voucher for guests to get a free drink at Trophy Tap and Brewing for cocktail hour. Patrick and I love when our couples make time for us to photograph the reception space untouched so they can see their vision in its entirety. Cody and Jessica absolutely allowed for this time and we loved getting to photograph the thoughtful details Jessica had orchestrated on their day. The ceremony was flawless and seeing the emotion from the day had everyone in tears. Family photos were completed in the Glass Box, and Cody and Jessica had the best bridal party who were game to venture down to the Capital for pictures. One of our favorite parts of the day is when Cody and Jessica finally got to spend a quiet moment savoring the fact that they were husband and wife.
