Words cannot begin to describe the love that these two share. Heather and Lee are two of the most down to earth humans I’ve ever encountered. It took about two seconds for me to know these were my kind of people, and Patrick and I were so honored to have their wedding kick off our 2018 wedding season. I met Heather and Lee back in August at Sola Coffee, and I felt like I was spending time with old friends as soon as they started talking. Lee proposed at a winery on a date, and told me that “he just knew” that the moment was right while they were alone on a peninsula overlooking the winery fields. From there, these two have taken wedding planning completely in stride, and reaffirm just how much we love doing what we do! From hearing how excited and grateful they were throughout the planning process as well as seeing Heather and Lee’s faces light up when they saw one another, there were so many beautiful moments that encapsulated their day!
Heather decided to do two first looks, and actually neither of her looks included Lee! Her initial first look was with her father in the bridal suite, and everyone was getting all of the wedding day feels after he gave her the proud “dad” look that melts my heart every time. Her second first look was with her brother, and this one completely melted my heart. Heather and her brother have an amazing relationship, and seeing the way that he looked at her when she came around the corner of the porch was everything. As if this family didn’t have enough beautiful moments incorporated into their day, Heather gifted Lee with a pin that held a picture of his late Father inside. Guys. This wedding was everything and Patrick and I continued to count ourselves so blessed to photograph such a remarkable and sentimental day!
The reactions from Heather’s first look with her dad left everyone ugly crying as they watched this moment unfold.
The second first look was between Heather and her brother Jereme’ and I was fighting back tears as I watched his reaction from seeing her looking so flawless.
The ceremony site was simple and elegant. I love how the world aligns on a wedding day, and as Heather made her way toward Lee, the clouds covered the direct sunlight, giving Lee the opportunity to focus on her walking toward him.
Can we just talk about how gorgeous their reception space was?! I’m obsessed!
We were quickly running out of light, but we managed to ask the sun to stay out for a few more moments while we captured these gorgeous sunset images.
Their reception details were flawless and I absolutely loved getting to photograph everyone having a blast together!
Heather and Lee, thank you for allowing us to spend the day with you! We had an absolute blast and are so honored that you chose us to celebrate with you!
