She held her breathe as she took another step, tears beginning to form in the corner of her eyes. Vicky was arm in arm with her mother, her cathedral length veil cascading behind her as she walked toward the man she could not wait to finally call her husband. Vicky and Kender met with us last year during a time when they were both busy and yet so incredibly in love. Patrick and I absolutely loved that they did their bride and groom portraits before the wedding day, displaying them throughout their wedding reception to show their friends and family how effortlessly their love translated through the camera. If you’d like to see their engagement session photos turned out, make sure you check out these two incredible humans here.
Vicky and Kender hosted the perfect daytime wedding with our time beginning at 8am and an afternoon ceremony at the beautiful Macgregor Downs Country Club. Vicky and her ladies spent the morning laughing, eating breakfast sandwiches, and listening to relaxing music as Kender and the guys played cards, pool, and spent time relaxing in the lounge. Portraits were completed before the ceremony and Patrick and I liked the energy that these two and their bridal party brought to the morning and found that everyone had a “down for whatever” mindset when it came to photos. The ceremony was effortless with the wedding taking place under a white tent behind the venue. Seeing Vicky walk toward Kender with an intense focus and a tearful glisten gave us all the feels throughout the ceremony. Following the ceremony, the bridal party ended up racing golf carts to a beautiful tree covered spot up the road where we took husband and wife portraits as well as bridal party.
The reception was filled with Asian traditions, and it was beautiful to see Vicky and Kender toast each table with tea as their reception progressed. The end of the day was met with more couple portraits and their bridal party was down to venture out for one more round of photos. We could not have felt more elated getting to spend the day celebrating these two and absolutely loved the time that we spent together!
