I’m tearing up as I write this, because this post is close to my heart. As many of you know, I have a lot of siblings; 14 of them. Leah is fourth oldest and 5 years younger than me. As siblings do, we got on each other’s nerves when we were younger. Leah was annoying and I was the bossy older sister. Something changed years late somewhere between finally being able to share clothes and giving each other advice about boys, the Lord, and life.

Leah is my forever friend. We’ve been through a lot together, and I’m seriously so proud of my little sister. From the jobs she’s obtained to paving her own way in Savannah, I am blown away by how much she’s accomplished in such a short amount of time. We’ve definitely had our ups and downs, and through it all, my love for her is so unconditional.

Leah’s shoot took place in a cemetery. You read that right. Cemetery. When Leah first told me that she wanted to do her shoot in a graveyard, I was making sure she wasn’t pulling my leg. After doing some research, however, I began to see her vision for this gorgeous Savannah shoot. Let’s be honest; Savannah’s Spanish moss pretty’s up any shoot. When we got to the location, the gates were locked, so I chose a driveway bordering the cemetery, and talk about perfect light! Even though it wasn’t what she had originally intended, Leah was able to showcase her gorgeous artificial bouquet (that’s right, they’re fake) and her gorgeous self. Coincidentally, Leah is recycling my sister Hannah’s wedding dress who got married last October. See that post here.

Okay, so this picture has a backstory. This is Pop Vinyl Voldemort, the cuter, more confused version of the Harry Potter villain. Ryan and Leah send pictures to one another with Voldemort during their various happenings from the day, and Leah wanted to use Voldemort as one more surprise to give Ryan when he sees the pictures.

I can’t handle how gorgeous my sister is and how much I loved getting to see her as a bride. Leah, I love you more than words can say. Thanks for being my rock, my sounding board, and my sensible side. I’m so glad God made us sisters, and also that He gave you someone like Ryan to walk alongside with. Have an amazing time at Disney, beautiful!
